    At Wemtech-CTS we understand the problems faced by manufacturers and suppliers every day in trying to understand what they need to do to achieve compliance. We offer a pragmatic and cost-effective approach to consultancy, providing assistance right from the initial concept through to a final product and on-going conformity issues.

    EMC compliance plays a very important role as more and more electrical products place an increasing demand on the Electromagnetic spectrum. From mobile phones to aircraft safety systems, the need for Electromagnetic Compatability (EMC) when placing a product on the market is very important.

    Wemtech-CTS offers pre and full EMC Compliance testing services for a wide range of products, and can conduct the tests either in-company, or in our chamber if necessary. See our EMC Testing page for more detail of the test.


    EMC Solutions, Filters Design & Supply

    Wemtech-CTS works closely with EMC Solutions Ltd to bring you complete 'EMC Solution'. From EMC testing, to our vast in-house experience in problem solving and EMC design, to the supply of both standard and custom EMC/RFI filters and components. With over 40 years of experience in providing EMC and RFI solutions, our team of engineers are able to offer a pro-active service which, if the client wishes, can go far beyond 'simply' testing for EMC compliance.

    Undertake Risk Assessments, PUWER Inspection.

    Covering areas such as the Low Voltage Directive and Machinery Directive, and also the Provisions and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), Wemtech-CTS can carry out detailed investigations and risk assessments

    In-company PAT Testing

    - PAT testing is an essential part of any Health and Safety policy.
    - All electrical equipment in the workplace should be tested for safety and it's the employer's responsibility to ensure this is done.
    - Wemtech CTS offer in-company PAT testing, complete with full labelling of every item tested and pass certification.

    Assistance in the construction of technical files

    Wemtech can offer a full range of support in the production of client's technical files/ technical construction files. There are three routes to compliance, self-certification to standards, technical file and notified/competent body, which ever of these routes you choose Wemtech can facilitate the process. Where a notified/competent body is required (Competent for EMC and Notified for all other directives) we can work with you to obtain product sign off with minimum of work and costs incurred.

    Help and advice with the product directives, i.e. WEEE, RoHS.

    Through Wemtech, the CE Marking Association specialist advisors can offer help and advice on most of the product directives, including these most recent such as;

    - 2002/96/EC  - Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
    - 2002/95/EC  - Restricted use of hazardous substances.
    - 1992/59/EEC - General Product Safety Directive.
    - 899/106/CE  - The Construction Products Directive.
