The Test & Calibration Laboratories Register and Wemtech Ltd: The 'Test and Calibration Laboratories Register' website was first established by "Industry on the Internet" (IOI Ltd) www.ioi.co.uk in 1996 by David Sandercock and John Spanton. Dave and John spent most of their careers in Research and Development at British Telecom, moving on to manage the West Midlands Regional Technology Centre (Wemtech Ltd - originally a DTI funded initiative to provide small and medium sized enterprises with technology support services ). Industry on Internet was created in 1996 and specialised in web sites - primarily for Industry and Technology Transfer activity. Today, the 'Test and Calibration Laboratories Register' website is managed by Wemtech Ltd (The West Midlands Regional Technology Centre) which continues to help SME's in technology transfer within the region, and CE Marking Nationally through the management of the CE Marking Association. This website continues to develop, providing subscribers with the many benefits of a comprehensive database with high search engine positioning for businesses searching for Calibration and Testing Establishments.
